Temple Sutton A once again dominated their group, finishing the day with a whitewash of the unfortunate Barming team. It was Barming who led after round 1, and indeed reached 7 points from their first two matches, but failed to qualify for the finals, managing only 2/5 against Temple Sutton B in round 3. Temple Sutton B just kept ahead of St. Teresa's, who scored an excellent 5/5 in the final round.

Too few teams for a Swiss tournament forced an all-play-all. Last year's runners-up in the National stages looked to be in ominously good form, dropping only one point in four matches, and that in their final round. R. A. Butler did not play in round 1 and then met Temple Sutton, so their last three rounds yielded 14/15, including a 5 - 0 whitewash of nearest rivals Leigh North Street.
