The Fifth and Final Round of the Essex Junior Grand Prix was held on Sunday, 28 June 2015 at the R A Butler Academy in Saffron Walden.  A total of 84 players took part, with several most welcome players from adjoining Counties and three from Bedford.  All the sections were closely contested with Essex players aiming to score well to improve their final standings in the Essex Junior Grand Prix.  The results were as follows –

Under 9

1st Joshua John (Newham) 5½

2nd William Stoeber (Cambridgeshire) 5

Under 11

=1st Nadia Jaufarally (Colchester) and Adam John (Suffolk) 5½/6

Under 18 Minor

1st Lakdinu Peries (Colchester) 5/6

2nd Lavanan Ainkaran (Ilford) 4½/6

Grading Prizes

Thomas McCartney (Chelmsford) and Brian Cox (Bedford) 3½/6

Under 18 Open

=1st Elliot Cocks (Chelmsford) and Aditya Verma (Ilford) 5/6

Under 105 Grading Prize

Scott Shelley (Chelmsford) 4/6

Best newcomer prizes went to Daniel Legg (Saffron Walden) 3/6 in Under 9, and Keerthihan Ravindran (Ilford) 4/6 in Under 11.

The first Grand Prix of 2015/16 will be held at the Kings Road Primary School on Saturday, 10 October 2015.  An entry form will be available via this website nearer the date.
